China's Tire Exports Grow Both Month-on-Month and Year-on-Year in August 2024

On September 18, 2024, the General Administration of Customs released tire export data for August 2024. China's tire exports saw growth both month-on-month and year-on-year in August.

The data indicates that China's total rubber tire exports amounted to 850,000 tons in August, marking a year-on-year increase of 6.6%. This figure represents an increase of 20,000 tons compared to July. The export value was approximately RMB 15.046 billion, also up 6.6% year-on-year.

Among these, the export volume of new pneumatic rubber tires was 820,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%, with an export value of approximately RMB 14.542 billion, a slight increase of 0.4% year-on-year.

In terms of the number of tires, China exported 61.86 million new pneumatic rubber tires in August, a year-on-year increase of 13.3% and an increase of 1.26 million tires compared to July.

From January to August, China's cumulative rubber tire exports totaled 6.19 million tons, up 5.1% year-on-year. The cumulative export value reached approximately RMB 109.186 billion, an increase of 5.5% compared to the same period last year.

Within this, the cumulative export volume of new pneumatic rubber tires was 5.97 million tons, up 4.9% year-on-year, with an export value of RMB 105.165 billion, a 5.6% increase year-on-year.

In terms of the number of tires, China exported a total of 453.35 million new pneumatic rubber tires in the first eight months, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%.

These figures suggest a robust performance in China's tire export sector, with both volume and value showing positive growth trends.
