On April 21, King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Phnom Penh.

The two sides exchanged views on topics such as the construction of the "Industrial Development Corridor" and the "Fish and Rice Corridor."

King Sihamoni expressed that the construction of the two economic corridors would promote Cambodia's economic development.

It is understood that in 2024, China-Cambodia economic cooperation has achieved fruitful results in the tire industry.

In January this year, the second phase of GEOTYRE Cambodia's base project kicked off in the West Harbor Special Economic Zone.

With a total investment of 1.495 billion yuan, the project plans to have an annual capacity of 3.5 million semi-steel tires and 750,000 all-steel tires.

Subsequently, SAILUN Group also announced an additional investment of 774 million yuan in its Cambodia factory.

This is the company's fourth capital increase, raising the project's annual production capacity to 12 million units.

Entering the second quarter, Fumaisi Tires quickly laid the foundation for its production base in Cambodia.

In addition to the above projects, Wanli Tires and Zhengdao Tires are also planning to build tire factories in Cambodia.

Including the ongoing Doublestar Tires overseas project, there will be six tire factories built by Chinese companies in the local area.

It is reported that the robust overseas trade is a key factor attracting these companies to invest in Cambodia.

Taking GEOTYRE, the earliest manufacturer to establish a factory, as an example, the company's Cambodia factory has maintained strong production and sales.

The overseas factory has received overwhelming orders, and its products are in short supply, significantly enhancing its profitability.
